Brain Wave Controllers
Using a brain to computer interface (BCI), neural data acts as controllers for multimedia. Electroencephalographic analysis (EEG) of brain wave signals delineates frequency values into bandwidths. High frequency, beta signaling produces agitated, stressful audio and visual control, and lower frequency alpha, theta, and delta signaling, being less chaotic in nature produce calmer music and smoother animation.
EEG for Data Analysis
Brain wave frequencies, are delineated into the bandwidths below.
- Gamma: 31-40 HZ
- High Beta: 21-30 HZ
- Medium Beta: 16-20 HZ
- Low Beta: 13-15 HZ
- Alpha: 8-12 HZ
- Theta: 5-7 HZ
- Delta: 2-4 HZ
