For nearly two decades, a subtle phenomenon has grown across the planet. Each year World Tai Chi & Qigong Day (WTCQD) events have been happening internationally on the last Saturday of April. Peaceable Dragon and Meadowlark Botanical Gardens sponsor an event at the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia. In addition to featuring demonstrations of Taijiquan (Tai Chi), Qigong (Chi Kung) and other internal art forms, there is a Healing Garden—organized by Paras Kaul—which features exhibits and mini-classes presented by well-being practitioners. All events are free to the public.
The 2019 event scheduled for April 27, features demonstrations of Taijiquan (Tai Chi), Qigong (Chi Kung). the Healing Garden, and other forms of internal arts. The public is invited to see the demonstrations, exhibits, and to participate in mini-classes taught by some of the area’s leading instructors and practitioners from a variety of schools and disciplines. The Healing Garden includes well-being practitioners and instructors who explore a variety of wellness therapies, which may include Chinese medicine, massage, Reiki, neurofeedback media and more. A list of the 2019 Healing Garden Participants can be viewed at the Participants Website.
Peaceable Dragon is a community of instructors and students of Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, Aikido, Reiki, and other internal arts, who share a desire to improve their physical, mental and spiritual health.
